Barbara Garofalo follows in her grandmother's footsteps, she was in fact a fashion designer herself. Barbara studied fashion design at the Accademia di Costume e Moda in Rome, where she learned solid technical and cultural skills to function in the world of creativity, research and innovative style.

The name a.b (apuntob) comes from her grandmother’s initials ‘Angela Brunozzi’. Barbara transforms basic shapes and volumes into overlapping, and deconstructed pieces that can be easily adapted to any season. a.b is about timeless clothes that make you feel good through meticulous care in detailing, craftsmanship, and quality of fabrics and integrity of design.
