Founded in 1983 by Franco Moschino, the inimitable Italian label's motto was "fashion should be fun and should send a message". After Moschino's death in 1994, his protégé Rossella Jardini took the helm, and her whimsical collections are a testament to the designer's unique, often eccentric, vision. His work is a mixture of art, surrealism and irreverent charm. Moschino continued its cartoon-toy fashion takeover for their A/W collection with a new nu-rave collection of Warner Bros' Bugs Bunny, Tweetie Pie and crew.
In 2013, American designer Jeremy Scott became the creative director of the brand, showing his first collection for Fall 2014. The designer continues to expand of the brands eccentric, surreal and playful aesthetic and is popular with IT girls and fashion bloggers around the world, becoming a cult like brand.
